Forty-one years ago, in 1984, our parish founders gave us the gift of our beautiful “St. Thomas Window.” Their foresight and artistic inspiration has, in turn, inspired generations of St. Thomas parishioners. The simple statement, “BELIEVE,” sustains us in times of doubt and uncertainty. The hands reaching up to Christ represent not only our patron saint’s desire for greater faith and understanding, but also OUR desire to touch Christ, so that we, too, cry out, “My Lord, and My God!”
Generations of St. Thomas parishioners have taken photos of important sacramental and family events in front of this window: baptisms, first communions, confirmations, weddings, birthdays, family reunions, and more. But after 41 years, structural decay now makes the window a safety hazard. For safety AND insurance reasons, we MUST repair this window now.
Our repairs will result in our St. Thomas Window lasting another 100 years — our gift to those who come after us.
Each of us is like a unique piece of glass that, joined with others, becomes an important part of something even more beautiful. When we put our resources together, we can create beauty for St. Thomas the Apostle parish as our founders did. Consider how your monetary gift can support this important effort.
Lend us a helping hand to carry St. Thomas’ message of faith and hope forward for years to come.
